Pakistan Army Pulse Report: Corruption and Suicide Cases Surge

Pakistan’s military establishment is once again under intense scrutiny after explosive allegations surfaced regarding rising indiscipline, smuggling, suicide cases, sexual assault accusations, and growing frustration inside army ranks. In his latest Soldier Speaks vlog, Adil Raja painted a disturbing picture of what he described as a rapidly deteriorating institutional structure within the Pakistan Army.

The vlog, presented as a “Pakistan Army Pulse Report,” claimed that the internal morale of the armed forces has sharply declined despite repeated salary increases and strict control measures by the military leadership.

According to Raja, the traditional military phrase “Sab acha hai sir” no longer reflects reality inside the institution. Instead, he argued that “nothing is fine anymore” within the ranks of the Pakistan Army.

Rising Suicide and Fratricide Cases Raise Alarm

One of the central themes of the report focused on increasing suicide and “fratricide” incidents within the military.

Adil Raja claimed that cases involving soldiers killing fellow servicemen, as well as suicides inside military units, are becoming alarmingly frequent. He compared the situation to earlier criticism historically directed at the Indian Army regarding mental health pressures among troops.

The report referenced the case of a serving soldier from the 650 Mujahid Regiment who was allegedly dismissed after shooting a Subedar at a military post in Kashmir. Raja suggested that such incidents may point toward deeper institutional problems rather than isolated disciplinary failures.

Another case mentioned involved a young soldier from the 82 SP Regiment who allegedly died by suicide while on guard duty at Bhakkar Island. The soldier, according to the vlog, had joined the unit only months earlier and had recently married. Raja argued that such incidents indicate severe psychological and organizational stress inside military formations.

Smuggling Allegations Reach Serving Army Officers

The Pakistan Army Pulse Report also highlighted allegations of widespread smuggling involving both soldiers and officers.

According to the vlog, several Frontier Corps personnel were reportedly punished for accepting bribes from smugglers. Raja then went further, alleging that a serving Pakistan Army captain was arrested in Karachi while transporting smuggled cigarettes. The officer was identified in the report as Captain Syed Junaid Ahmed Shah of a heavy anti-tank battalion stationed in Malir Cantonment.

The allegations are particularly damaging because the Pakistan Army leadership has repeatedly projected itself as an institution fighting corruption and maintaining discipline during a period of economic crisis.

Raja argued that despite repeated salary hikes for officers over the past three years, corruption and smuggling activities continue to expand inside the military structure.

Explosive Allegations of Abuse and Sexual Assault

The most controversial section of the Pakistan Army Pulse Report involved allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse within military environments.

Adil Raja claimed that sexual exploitation cases inside army units have existed for years but were routinely concealed through institutional pressure and internal settlements. He alleged that in some cases, lower-ranking soldiers retaliated violently after harassment attempts by senior personnel.

The vlog also described an alleged assault case involving a military cook attached to an armored brigade headquarters. Raja claimed the accused entered a non-commissioned officer’s family quarters and assaulted the soldier’s wife while the husband was on duty. According to the report, the suspect was later detained and interrogated internally.

These allegations have not been independently verified. However, the claims add to broader criticism facing Pakistan’s military establishment regarding transparency and accountability.

Adil Raja Links Crisis to Military Leadership

Throughout the vlog, Adil Raja repeatedly linked the internal problems to the current military leadership under General Asim Munir.

He argued that the institution’s top command has lost operational and moral control while focusing excessively on political engineering and suppression of opposition voices.

Raja also claimed that fear within the military leadership has increased dramatically, leading to stricter internal surveillance and growing mistrust among officers and soldiers alike.

According to the Soldier Speaks analysis, the worsening internal security environment, combined with economic hardship and political instability, has intensified frustration across different ranks of the military.

Pakistan Army Under Pressure Amid National Crisis

The Pakistan Army Pulse Report comes at a time when Pakistan continues to face multiple overlapping crises, including inflation, political polarization, militant attacks, and declining public trust in state institutions.

Raja argued that the military’s continued involvement in politics has weakened institutional cohesion and damaged morale inside the armed forces.

He concluded the vlog by calling for a return to democratic governance, demanding that the military step away from political control and allow fresh elections to take place.

“The system is failing,” Raja stated, while urging military leadership to “step aside and let public mandate prevail.”
