The thing that we have forgotten over the last 76 years is BASIC HUMANITY.

 

  1. Treating Others Well:

    • Source: Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 73, Hadith 40
    • Narrated by Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "He who believes in Allah and the Last Day should treat his neighbor with kindness."
  2. Good Manners:

    • Source: Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Hadith 6194
    • Narrated by Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The most complete of the believers in faith, is the one with the best character among them. And the best of you are those who are best to their women."
  3. Respecting Elders and Showing Mercy to the Young:

    • Source: Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 1, Hadith 315
    • Narrated by Abu Huraira: A man asked the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah, which of the people is most deserving of my fine treatment?" He said, "Your mother." The man asked, "Then who?" He said, "Your mother." The man further asked, "Then who?" He said, "Your mother." The man asked again, "Then who?" He said, "Your father."
  4. Compassion for Animals:

    • Source: Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 67, Hadith 405
    • Narrated by Anas: The Prophet said, "If you must slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner, and let him who slaughters pray for mercy."
  5. Honesty and Truthfulness:

    • Source: Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 73, Hadith 3
    • Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: The Prophet said, "Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise."
  6. Helping Others:

    • Source: Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 70, Hadith 545
    • Narrated by Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "He who helps his brother in the time of need, Allah will help him in his time of need."
  7. Justice and Fairness:

    • Source: Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Hadith 6258
    • Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr: The Prophet said, "Those who show no mercy will receive no mercy from Allah. Show mercy to those on the earth, and He Who is in the heaven will show mercy to you."
  8. Generosity:

    • Source: Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 64, Hadith 265
    • Narrated by Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Allah said, 'O son of Adam, spend! I will spend on you.'"
